ABBREVIATIONS :

• SSC - SPROUT Liquid Microbial Soil Conditioner
• SNS - SPROUT Liquid Biological Nutrient Supplement
• SNPK - SPROUT Granular Microbial NPK Blend

1. SNS is most effective if applied early morning (before 09:00) or in the evening.
2. For best results apply SNS in a fine mist directly to both sides of leaves.
3. Only apply SNS to soil/roots if application to leaves is not practical e.g. tall trees.
4. SNS+SSC can be combined 5 : 1 and applied as a foliar spray to protect against fungi as a preventative measure i.e. must be applied while plant is healthy and not to be used or relied upon to cure existing fungus infections.

CAUTIONARY NOTES

1. SPROUT liquid fertilizers are shipped as concentrates and must be diluted before using - do not apply undiluted.
2. Only apply SNS at least 7 days after applying any granular fertilizer.
3. Over fertilizing will cause leaf blight - water plants daily for 3 to 4 days to overcome leaf blight.
4. Apply SSC to the soil only and not direct to plants.
5. Pesticides & herbicides kill soil micro-organisms, hence inhibit the effectiveness of SPROUT organic fertilizers. Avoid applying any herbicide / pesticide within 3 days before or after applying SPROUT organic fertilizers. Try to avoid pesticides / herbicides altogether and consider strategically planting herbs such as Sage, Cayenne, Rosemary and Basil which act as natural insect repellents. If unavoidable, use non toxic organic pesticides/herbicides and reduce amount used by 50%.

SNPK

1. SNPK should be used in accordance with customary fertilizer quantities as a 1:1 replacement by for chemical fertilizers.
2. The minimum recommended dosage is 50 kg per acre.

SNS

1. The recommended dosage of SNS is 5 ml per 100 m² or 0.05 ml/m² every 7 days.
2. Dosages should be increased if applied less frequently - see table below.
3. When increasing the dosage, do not increase the water - see table below.
4. Do not use a dosage of less than 5 ml per 100 m² per application.
5. Do not exceed a dosage of 10 ml per 100 m² per application.
6. Do not exceed an application frequency of every 7 days.
7. Increasing the dosage will increase yield, however fertilizing twice over a period of time is more effective than doubling the dose and fertilizing only once.

SSC

1. The recommended dosage of SSC is 5 ml per 100 m² or 0.05 ml/m².
2. For soil preparation there is no limit to the amount of SSC that can be used and dosages could be doubled or even tripled.
3. When increasing soil preparation dosages, use more water i.e. retain the 1:1 000 dilution level as the micro-organisms need water as a means of transport to spread through the soil. Alternatively apply additional water after applying SSC.
4. Do not exceed a ratio of 1 ml SSC per 5 ml SNS when applying as a foliar spray and ensure dilution of at least 1 : 5 000 for the SSC component.
5. When increasing the SNS dosage in foliar spray, do not increase the SSC dosage.

DILUTION

1. Shake or stir SPROUT liquid fertilizers very well before using, mixing or diluting.
2. When mixing SPROUT liquid fertilizers (together), first mix each 1 : 5 with water separately, then combine and progressively dilute to the desired dilution level.
3. SPROUT liquid fertilizers should be diluted to suit the desired dosage level - see previous tables.
4. The standard dilution rate for SPROUT liquid fertilizers is 1:1 000 with water for standard recommended (minimum) dosages.
5. The spray volume per m² needs to be adjusted to suit the desired dosage level.
