Procedure |
| A |
Good |
SSC : 500 ml |
Dilute SSC with 500 litres of water.
Spray solution evenly (50 ml/m2) over soil.
Plant crop after 14 days. |
| B |
Weak |
SSC : 1 litre
SNS : 1 litre |
Partially dilute SCC and SNS separately then combine and dilute with 1 000 litres of water.
Spray solution evenly (100 ml/m2) over soil.
Plant crop after 14 days. |
| C |
Very Weak |
SSC : 1 litre &
Green manure crop |
Establish an appropriate cover crop after harvesting cash crop.
14 days before replanting cash crop, till cover crop residue into soil.
Dilute SSC with 1 000 litres of water.
Spray solution evenly (100 ml/m2) over soil.
Plant cash crop after 14 days. |
| D |
Very Weak |
SSC : 1 litre &
Organic Waste : 5 MT |
Spread organic waste evenly (2 kg/m2) over the soil.
Plough organic waste into soil.
Dilute SSC with 1 000 litres of water.
Spray solution evenly (100 ml/m2) over soil.
Plant crop after 21 days. |
| E |
Any |
SSC : 500 ml &
Crop Residue |
After harvest leave crop residue on soil surface.
14 days before planting, grind up crop residue and till into soil.
Dilute SSC with 500 litres of water.
Spray solution evenly (50 ml/m2) over soil.
Plant crop after 14 days. |
Notes :
- Adjust the amount of SSC used according to dosage strength and soil area being prepared.
- Spray SSC+water solution evenly to match the water volume/soil area ratio e.g.
- 500 l/ha = 500 000 ml/10 000 m2 = 50 ml/m2
- 1 000 l/ha = 1 000 000 ml/10 000 m2 = 100 ml/m2
- During soil preparation there is no limit on the amount of SSC that can be used and all dosages could be doubled or even tripled.
- For higher dosages, use more water as the micro-organisms need water as a means of transport to spread through the soil.
